Jowar Sticks | Gluten Free recipe | Jowar Murukku

INGREDIENTS
Sorghum /Jowar flour -1 cup
Asafoetida -Pinch
Turmeric Powder – 1Tsp
Red Chili Powder -1 Tbsp
Salt to Taste 
Sesame seeds – 1tbsp
Cumin Powder -1 tsp
Coriander Powder -1 tbsp
Warm Water – ¾ Cup (as required)
Oil for frying 
Hot water - 1/2 cup to 3/4 cup


In a steel vessel  and Jowar Flour. Close with a lid 
Place the steel vessel in pressure cooker on a stand /Plate 
Pressure cook on medium flame (till 3 whistles)
After 3 whistles, Takeout the box carefully 
Sieve the cooked Jowar Flour 
Add asafoetida ,Turmeric Powder ,Red chili Powder , Salt to taste , Sesame séeds 
Mix well and knead into a soft Dough by adding hot water 
Grease the Chakli ( Murukku ) maker 
Place the dough in Chakli maker 
Start to put the chaklis in medium hot oil 
Fry on slow medium flame 
Flip only when they start floating on the top of the oil 
Let it fry till it turns crispy 
Delicious Homemade Jowar Chaklis are ready to serve
